Por que iniciar esta postagem de minha visita a Innsbruck, na Áustria, mostrando a foto acima?

Why to start this post of my visit to Innsbruck, Austria, showing the photo above?

Porque neste ano dos 200 anos da imigracão alemã no Brasil, altamente comemorado no Rio Grande do Sul, a austríaca Imperatriz Leopoldina tem sido lembrada como "a Mãe da Imigracão Alemã".

Because in this year of the 200th anniversary of the German imigration in Brazil, highly celebrated in Rio Grande do Sul, the Austrian Empress Leopoldina is remembered as "the Mother of the German Immigration".

Tendo já visitado Viena e Salzburgo anteriormente, só desta vez me conscientizei da grande ligacão que - como gaúcho e descendente dos alemães que foram na segunda leva (1825) - eu tenho com a Áustria, através da Imperatriz Leopoldina

Having already visited Vienna and Salzburg previously, only this time I became aware of the great connection that - as Gaucho and a descendant of the Germans who went in the second wave (1825) - I have with Austria, through Empress Leopoldina.

Viajei  com a Lufthansa.

I travelled with Lufthansa.

Depois de três horas de voo, chego a Munique, Alemanha e de lá para Innsbruck a viagem é de ônibus, outras três horas. Em Munique, um pretzel típico!

After a three-hour flight, I arrive in Munich, Germany and from there to Innsbruck the journey is by bus, another three hours. In Munich, a typical pretzel!

Há muito queria conhecer Innsbruck, cidade situada no Tirol, Áustria. Agora me foi possível gracas a um casal de amigos de minha filha Martta - agora meus amigos também - que vive lá, ela brasileira e ele finlandês, que me hospedaram.

I had long wanted to visit Innsbruck, a city located in Tyrol, Austria.

Now I have been able to do so, as I am being hosted by friends of my daughter Martta - now my friends too - who live there, she is Brazilian and he is Finnish.

Em um restaurante encontrei turistas gaúchos, alguns descendentes de alemães como eu, a quem contei nossa ligacão com a Áustria, como descrito na introducão deste post.

In a restaurant, I met tourists from Rio Grande do Sul, some of them of German descent like me, to whom I told about our connection with Austria, as described in the introduction to this post.

Innsbruck, uma cidade belíssima, cercada de montanhas!

Innsbruck significa "Ponte sobre o rio Inn".

Então, fomos para os magníficos lugares campestres.

Then, we went to the magnificent country side.

Chegando a Zillertal, o nome me pareceu familiar... Sim, porque vendíamos o jornal salvacionista naquele restaurante austríaco enorme nos anos 60, em São Paulo, a ponto de passarmos uma hora dentro dele a cada vez.

Arriving in Zillertal, the name seemed familiar to me... Yes, because we sold the Salvationist newspaper in that huge Austrian restaurant in the 60s, in São Paulo, to the point that we spent an hour in it each time.

Uau... quanta beleza, de encher os olhos!

Wow, how much beauty, eye-catching!

Voltando para a casa dos amigos, um típico arroz com feijão brasileiro!!

Back to my friends home, a typical Brazilian rice and beans!

Então... tomando uma auto-estrada para o aeroporto.

Then... taking a highway to the airport.

Esperando meu voo de volta à Finlândia no aeroporto de Munique, o segundo m aior da Alemanha,  fiquei contemplando o A-380 estacionado diante do meu portão de embarque.A Lufthansa possui 14 Airbus A-380, que transporta 507 pasageiros em seus 2 andares e uma tripulacão de 3 pilotos e 21 comissários de bordo.

Waiting for my flight back to Finland at Munchen airport, the second biggest in Germany, I stared at the A-380 parked in front os my boarding gate. Lufthansa has 14 Airbus A-380s, which transport 507 passengers in its 2  decks and a crew of 3 pilots and 21 flight attendants.

E assim terminou uma rápida viagem, mas certamente a um dos lugares mais lindos da Europa... Innsbruck! Obrigado, amigos, pela maravilhosa hospitalidade e passeios!

And so ended a short trip, but certainly to one of the most beautiful places in Europe... Innsbruck! Thank you, friends, for such wonderful hospitality and tours!

- Esqueci-me de comprar um souvenir do Tirol austríaco, mas por outro lado eu tenho dois da maravilhosa cidade de Salzburgo, um deles do genial filme "Sound of Music", com locacões naquela cidade que eu visitei três vezes em funcão do genial filme da década de 60, sucesso até hoje, um filme que altamente recomendo.

I forgot to buy a souvenir from the Austrian Tyrol, but on the other hand I have two from the wonderful city of Salzburg, one of them from the brilliant movie "Sound of Music", with locations in that city that I visited three times because of the movie from 60s, success to this day, a must-watch.

- Sobre a austríaca Imperatriz Leopoldina:

Era sobrinha-neta de Maria Antonieta da France.

Teve 7 filhos com Dom Pedro I.

Falava alemão, francês, inglês e português.

- Sobre a chegada dos primeiros alemães ao Brasil:

Os imperadores foram ao porto recebê-los.

Leopoldina serviu de intérprete para Dom Pedro I.

Dom Pedro admirou-se da altura dos alemães e até posicionou-se costa com costa com um deles para medi-la. (H. Hunsche)
